Privacy Policy
Effective September 15, 2026
No third-party analytics. No ad networks. We never sell or share your information with marketers, and we never store Social Security numbers, full account numbers, or passwords.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and a hashed password.
- Questionnaire answers: the information you enter to build your documents (names, relationships, county, date of birth, marital status, choices about your estate). Anonymous answers are stored in a signed cookie in your browser until you create an account.
- Estate inventory (Complete bundle): institution names, account types, last four digits, beneficiaries, approximate values, and your notes. We refuse entries that look like full account numbers or Social Security numbers.
- Uploads (Complete bundle): files you choose to upload to your vault.
- Payment: Stripe processes payments. We store Stripe's transaction identifiers, the amount, and the status. We never see or store your card number.
- Usage logs: server-side records of which pages and questionnaire steps are used, tied to your account or an anonymous session key. No third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, no fingerprinting.
- Error reports: when something breaks, a technical error report (without your documents or answers) is sent to our error-monitoring provider.
What we never collect
Social Security numbers, full account numbers, passwords to other services, or the contents of your documents beyond what you enter in the questionnaire.
How we use it
To generate and store your documents, run your account, send transactional email (verification, password reset, receipts, "your documents are ready", the annual review reminder you set, and one reminder if you leave the questionnaire unfinished), and to improve the product using aggregate usage counts. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with marketers.
Referral links
Some pages show optional links to third-party services (for example, a trust provider or an online notary). They are shown based on general facts such as your state or whether you have minor children, never on the value of your assets, and they open only when you click. We may earn a commission. The third party's privacy policy applies once you leave our site. If you use our attorney-review form, we share the information you enter with a licensed attorney or referral service only with your consent.
Where data lives
Our database and generated PDFs are stored with reputable cloud providers in encrypted storage. Nightly backups are retained for a limited period.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your answers, regenerate documents, download everything, and delete your account (which removes your answers, documents, and uploads) from your account page. Email privacy@lastwillcreator.com with any request.
Children
The service is for adults 18 and older.
Changes
We will post any changes here with a new effective date.
